7 Personality Types That Will Make You Want to Live Your Best Life

So you’ve decided to live your best life? That’s great! The first step in doing that, though, is to figure out the personality type that will help you get there. This isn’t something you can just guess—the journey to success relies on following your natural strengths, not overcoming your weaknesses (that’s for another time). Once you know your personality type, you can put yourself in situations that play to your strengths and avoid those that work against them. Let’s take a look at each of the 7 personality types and how they might fit into your best life.

What is your personality type?

I am an introverted person who likes to spend time alone. I am not very sociable and I prefer to keep to myself. I am a deep thinker and I like to reflect on things. I am also quite independent and I like to do things my own way. I am a good listener and I take things in. I am also quite private and I don't like to share too much about myself with others.

Type 1 - The Leader

These people are natural leaders. They love being at the helm of an organization, and they make great managers, because they're in tune with their employees' needs. These are the guys and gals who know how to get things done—and get them done right. If you want your life or business run smoothly, look no further than a Type 1. If you like helping others grow and learn, be sure that these people have opportunities for advancement within your company. They’ll excel in an environment where they can teach and inspire other staff members. And always give these folks recognition for their hard work; as natural leaders, it’s important that they feel respected by others.

Type 2 - The Helper

Helpers are compassionate, empathetic and generous people. They want to help you reach your goals so they can also be there for you when they're met. They're happy with others' success and don't need credit for their own hard work. Helpers are genuinely good people and make the world a better place just by being in it.

Type 3 - The Achiever

If you tend to be goal-oriented, focused and constantly on the move, then the Achiever personality type is for you. Achievers are ambitious, achievement-oriented go-getters who crave feedback and thrive on positive recognition. Although you may be able to work independently with minimal supervision, your real power lies in getting things done efficiently and effectively by overseeing projects and working alongside others towards a common goal. If you identify as an Achiever, there’s a good chance that leadership positions come naturally to you; however, your perfectionist tendencies can make it difficult for others to live up to your expectations.

Type 4 - the Individualist

If you’re an Individualist, you believe that your own happiness is the most important thing in life. They are optimistic and independent, but not necessarily social butterflies. These individuals like the idea of staying home on a Friday night, rather than hitting up the town. According to research conducted by Wrike, being an Individualist can lead to higher satisfaction levels, lower stress levels and better productivity overall—not bad for Type 4! Do you identify with any of these personality types? Or do you have a type that's not on our list? Share your feedback in the comments below!

Type 5 - the Investigator

If you are a Type 5, you are extremely analytical and always looking for answers. People who fall into the 5 personality type tend to be intellectual, curious, ambitious and great at debate. If you are a Type 5, you love reading and thinking up ideas that may or may not have merit in the real world. When it comes time for you to begin working on your big idea however, there is no better personality type than a Type 5. The reason for that is because if any of your business plans end up stalling or running into hurdles then it will be your ability to analyze those problems and find solutions through careful research that will carry the day.

Type 6 - the Loyal Skeptic

A lot of people these days are talking about the “loyal skeptic.” But what is a loyal skeptic?

A loyal skeptic is someone who is willing to question everything. They aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo or to ask hard questions. A loyal skeptic is always looking for the truth, even if it means going against the grain.

Some people might see the loyal skeptic as a troublemaker. But the truth is, we need more people like them in the world. We need people who are willing to stand up and ask the tough questions. We need people who are willing to challenge the status quo.
